The farm girl is immediately drawn in and begins to have feelings and thoughts she never knew were possible. Between the "normal" world of her childhood pals and the LGBT underground, Al finds herself slipping back and forth. She can manage the juggling act until war breaks out and everything is altered once more. Her life starts to fall apart when her two worlds converge.
